Super-midsize jets bring coast-to-coast capability and a larger cabin than midsize. Eight to ten seats, range typically 3,000 to 3,500 nautical miles, and runway performance that handles APF and most international fields without an operator-performance flag. Naples non-stop to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and most of Mexico fits a super-midsize cleanly.
Typical Aircraft
The Cessna Citation Sovereign and Citation X, the Bombardier Challenger 300, the Hawker 1000, the Gulfstream G200, and the Dassault Falcon 50 are the working super-midsize platforms. The Citation X holds the speed record in the category and is a favorite for coast-to-coast trips on tight calendar.
When Super-Midsize Fits the Naples Trip
Naples to Los Angeles, Naples to Seattle, Naples to most of Mexico, Naples to short transatlantic routes like Iceland or eastern Canada. Aspen and Park City work cleanly on most super-midsize platforms. For non-stop transatlantic and trans-Pacific, heavy or long-range becomes the right category.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Naples-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and peaks in September. We work with you on schedule cushion and forecast windows when those months drive the calendar. If any changes are required due to weather and passenger safety, you can expect your advisor to reach out as soon as we are aware. APF observes voluntary Quiet Hours from 10 PM to 7 AM; for late-night arrivals or pre-dawn departures, Southwest Florida International (RSW) is often the more practical option.
