Naples Piper Saratoga PA-32R Charter

The Piper Saratoga PA-32R is a retractable-gear single-engine six-seat piston that Naples clients rarely see on charter and instead encounter as an owner-flown airframe. APF handles it without a runway conversation.

Piper produced the Saratoga line from 1980 to 2008 across the PA-32R-301 (normally aspirated) and PA-32R-301T (turbocharged) variants. A single Lycoming IO-540 piston drives the airframe to 165 knots cruise, 770 nautical miles of range with reserves on long-range cruise, and a 20,000-foot ceiling. Six-seat cabin (five passengers plus pilot).

Why the Piper Saratoga PA-32R Fits Naples

For a Naples-based owner-pilot the Saratoga is a sensible in-Florida airframe: Key West, Marco Island (via MKY), Palm Beach, and short Georgia coast trips are all inside its envelope.

Charter availability in the Naples market is limited. Any client requesting a Saratoga for charter should be redirected to a King Air 90, a TBM 700, or a light jet on a Part 135 certificate.

770 nautical miles of range does not reach any Northeast snowbird origin. Do not quote the Saratoga for TEB, HPN, BED, or PWK inbound; the mission is not a fit.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Piper Saratoga PA-32R run $900 to $1,300 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.
