Why the Beechcraft Baron G58 Fits Naples
G1000 avionics are the difference between the G58 and older 58 airframes. For a Naples owner-pilot who wants a familiar Garmin panel and IFR reliability on a short in-Florida run, that matters; for a chartering client sitting in the back, the ride is identical.
Bahamas day trips out of APF (Nassau MYNN, Bimini MYBS) are inside the type’s range on a good weather day, though hurricane season and afternoon thunderstorm risk make this a more scheduling-sensitive mission on a piston twin than on a King Air or light jet.
As with the earlier Baron 58, Northeast snowbird routes are the wrong mission for a G58; redirect to a King Air 200/250/350 or a light jet for anything TEB, HPN, BED, or PWK inbound.
