Why the Piper Aerostar 600 Fits Naples
In-Florida short hops (Key West EYW, Palm Beach PBI, Fort Lauderdale FXE, Orlando ORL) are the honest Aerostar 600 mission out of APF. Cabin pressurization is limited; extended trips at altitude tire passengers.
The 1,161-nautical-mile book range does not comfortably reach Northeast snowbird origins with a full cabin. Any Naples-to-TEB or Naples-to-HPN quote should be redirected to a King Air, TBM, or light jet.
When the Aerostar shows up in the Naples market it is usually an operator’s positioning flight where the aircraft happens to be at APF and available at a fraction of a turboprop’s rate. Fair value for the right mission, not a headline asset.
