Gulfstream Aerospace FAA-certified the G650 in September 2012, with first customer delivery that December. The G650ER launched in 2014 with 7,500 nautical mile range. The airframe carries Rolls-Royce BR725 turbofans, PlaneView II avionics, and a cabin trimmed for 11 in a spacious layout and up to 18 max. Why the Gulfstream G650 / G6 Fits Naples
APF at 6,600 feet is not the right departure field for a G650 or G650ER at MTOW. The airframe’s runway requirements at heavy weights exceed APF’s practical envelope for a full-fuel transoceanic mission, and RSW is the honest departure field. Light-cabin repositioning legs (Naples to Palm Beach, Naples to Nassau) can use APF on cool mornings at partial fuel.
For Naples ownership cases, the G650 is the airframe that flies a Port Royal principal to Tokyo, Dubai, or Sao Paulo nonstop at full mission load.
