Naples Cirrus SR22 Charter

The Cirrus SR-22 is a single-engine composite piston with a whole-airframe ballistic parachute, and Naples clients see it almost exclusively as an owner-flown or flight-instruction airframe rather than as a chartered aircraft. APF handles it without a runway conversation.

Cirrus certified the SR-22 in 2001 and has produced it continuously since across G1 through G7 generations. A single Continental IO-550-N piston drives the fixed-gear airframe to 183 knots cruise, 1,207 nautical miles of range, a 17,500-foot ceiling on the normally-aspirated variant (25,000 ft on the turbocharged SR22T), and three-to-four-seat cabin. The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) is standard.

Why the Cirrus SR-22 Fits Naples

For a Naples-based owner-pilot running weekend trips to the Bahamas, the Keys, or Georgia, the SR-22 is a sensible airframe. Charter availability is thin; most SR-22s on the Naples market are owner-flown, not on a Part 135 certificate.

APF handles the SR-22 easily and MKY is a fine option for direct arrivals to Marco Island. Runway performance is not a factor.

For a chartering client asking about a Naples SR-22 booking, be honest: the mission is usually better served by a King Air 90, a TBM 700/850, or a light jet on a real charter certificate. If a client insists on a Cirrus and is comfortable with a Part 91 dry-lease structure, refer to acquisition or a specialized broker.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Cirrus SR-22 run $1,000 to $1,500 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

SR-22 hourly rate is the lowest single-engine piston point on the market, but Part 135 availability in the Naples area is limited; treat quoted rates as indicative pending operator confirmation.
