Why the Socata TBM 700 Fits Naples
For a Naples-to-Nassau day trip with a couple and a couple of bags, the TBM 700 is one of the least expensive turbine options on the market. Runway performance at APF is not a factor.
1,400 nautical miles of range covers Chicago Executive (PWK), Bedford (BED), and Teterboro (TEB) to APF nonstop on a normal day with a light payload; anything closer to full-cabin trades range for weight and pushes toward a tech stop.
Airframe availability is shrinking as the fleet ages and operators move to 850, 900, and 910 replacements. When a 700 comes up in the Naples market it is often a value-priced positioning flight from a Northeast or Midwest operator.
