The Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) AS350 AStar family is the single-engine light-to-medium helicopter Naples operators most often ship when a client asks for a helo transfer. APF Signature and Naples Aviation both handle it.
The slug covers multiple Airbus Helicopters models (AS350 AStar, EC120, EC130, H125); figures shown reflect the AS350 B3, the most-chartered Eurocopter type. A single Turbomeca Arriel drives the airframe to 133 knots cruise, 357 nautical miles of range, and a 23,000-foot service ceiling. Five to six seats, 35 cubic feet of baggage, and a 35-foot main rotor diameter.

Why the Eurocopter Fits Naples
For a Naples-to-Marco Island Executive (MKY) transfer, a Naples-to-Fort-Myers RSW pickup, or a helo taxi to Boca Grande for a lunch, the AStar is a routine assignment.
The type’s hot-and-high performance and altitude ceiling exceed what any Naples-market mission asks for; the practical operating point is under 5,000 feet along the coast. Cabin altitude is not pressurized (this is a helicopter), but that is not a client complaint at typical operating altitudes.
Yacht-meet transfers (client lands at APF, helo out to a boat moored at Naples City Dock or off Marco Island) are a routine AStar mission during peak season.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Charter Pricing Reference
Industry hourly rates for the Eurocopter run $1,600 to $2,500 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.
AStar hourly rate lands between a Bell 407 and an AW109; the most-quoted helo for short Naples-market transfers because operators keep them on the ramp.
