Mining operations and scientific expeditions reach sites that no commercial schedule serves, from drill camps to research stations on remote runways. When the principal is based in Naples or the expedition leadership coordinates from Southwest Florida, we arrange the charter through APF or RSW into the field, matched to the runway you actually have at the other end.
Site Visits and Drill-Camp Rotations
Mining executives, geological consultants, and technical leads fly in for site visits and production reviews. Drill-camp crews rotate on a fixed shift schedule. We match the cabin to the manifest and the aircraft type to the runway condition and length at the camp field.
Sample, Equipment, and Specimen Transport
Geological samples, ice cores, and specialized field equipment ride either with the principals as cabin cargo, or on a separate cargo leg. Some samples carry chain-of-custody requirements; tell your advisor before booking and we’ll match the operator’s documentation capability.
Scientific Expeditions
Polar, oceanographic, archaeological, and rainforest expeditions all use private charter at some point in the trip arc. We arrange the lift into the staging field and back, including any customs and permits-of-entry work the destination requires.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Naples-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and peaks in September. We work with you on schedule cushion and forecast windows when those months drive the calendar. If any changes are required due to weather and passenger safety, you can expect your advisor to reach out as soon as we are aware. APF observes voluntary Quiet Hours from 10 PM to 7 AM; for late-night arrivals or pre-dawn departures, Southwest Florida International (RSW) is often the more practical option.
